Rowan Todd was born and grew up in Guildford in the United Kingdom. Diagnosed with a brain tumour caused by Neurofibromatosis type 1 when she was three, she underwent several years of chemotherapy before she was ten. As a consequence she is now a braille user and writes her work on an electronic braille machine. Talking books and music were here closest companions during treatment and she hopes to continue with her writing long into the future. She is a passionate activist for issues around the Climate Crisis and has been an active supporter of the Youth Strikes movement.
